About this module
Working hours are set by law, not by habit. The starter shifts and policy sit within the 8-hour day and 48-hour week, and anything beyond that is overtime paid at twice the rate.
Capabilities
-
Shifts
Start and end time, working days, grace period and Saturday rule per shift, with bulk assignment and shift bidding.
-
Two general shifts to start
Mon to Fri and Mon to Sat, 9:30 to 18:30 including a lunch hour, counted as a full day at 8 working hours. The Mon to Sat shift is the legal 48-hour week.
-
Attendance policy
Grace period, short-leave and half-day bands, regularization, and which leave types are used first when someone is late.
-
Overtime at twice the rate
The policy sets the overtime multiplier at 2x, following the Wage Code. The central rules cap overtime at 144 hours a quarter.
-
Holiday calendar
National holidays are added as recurring. State and company holidays are added by HR.
-
Biometric devices
Register biometric devices and sync punches into attendance.
