Do our analysts get a direct connection to the ERP database?

No. BI Connect publishes curated CSV/ZIP extract packs rather than exposing a live Postgres login. Analysts build dashboards from those packs, so no BI tool holds credentials into the production database.

Are the packs raw table dumps?

No. They are curated datasets shaped for Power BI Desktop and Service, organised by theme — fees, payroll, attendance, admissions. Business rules such as finalized periods, posted fees, and active employees stay enforced upstream in the ERP, so the pack already reflects them.

How often can the data refresh?

Scheduled delivery options are available to match your campus BI refresh cadence, and your BI team refreshes Power BI from the delivered packs under your own IT policy.
